The Alton Public School Foundation has worked with local families and agencies to establish scholarships to encourage students in pursuing their post-secondary education. Some of the scholarships have been established to honor the memory of or to recognize beloved family members. Others have been established by local organizations. At this time, there are fourteen scholarships that have been established with some occasionally offering more than one scholarship under their name.
The scholarships for this year are The Alton Chamber of Commerce, The Alton Public School Foundation, The Jim Clary Memorial, The JQ Clary Memorial, The Nancy Clary Memorial, The Robert Owens MemorialT, The Campbell Family Medical Services, The Dethrow-Roy Family, The Eddie J. Johnson Memorial, The Paintmaster Collision Repair, The Simpson/Ag. FFA, The Williams Family Non-Renewable, and The Noah Anderson Memorial. There is one application that seniors must complete in order to be considered for all fourteen of the scholarships. Seniors may pick one up from Mrs. Gilliland and return it to her by March 16th.
We truly appreciate the generosity of each of the families and organizations who have established these scholarships.
