Junior and Senior High Christmas Concert at 7:00 pm TONIGHT.
Schedules for the second semester will be available when we return to school on January 3. If you need a copy of your schedule, you will need to see the following teachers: Seniors - Mr. Collins; Juniors - Mr. Britton; Sophomores - Mrs. Shaw; Freshman - Mr. Kreutzer; 8th grade - Mrs. Roberts; 7th grade - Mrs. Smith.
It's not too late to get a Homecoming Shirt, Miss Lawson has two shirts left, size large. They are $14.
The school will not be unlocked until 7:30 every morning. The doors will then be locked at 4:00 pm every day.
Any student with attendance concerns needs to see Mr. Allen or Mr. Reese to determine if they need to attend Saturday School.
Please make sure all excused absence notes (Doctor, Court, Funeral, etc.) are turned in and accounted for on your attendance.
ACT Registration Deadline is January 11 for the February 9th test date. Please be sure to list your college and scholarship choices and remember to upload your picture.
Floriculture Class has nice Poinsettias ready for delivery. $6.00. See Mr. Graham for details.
Beta Members: The officers of Beta Club voted at a recent officer’s meeting to require members interested in going to state convention to pay the $18.00 registration fee. If you plan to attend, this will need to be paid by Friday, January 11.
Memory books from Annie are still on sale for $15.00 each. The books have wonderful pictures and a place for autographs.
The Alton R-4 Challenge class is teaming up with Magnabilities for a fundraiser. Magnabilities is jewelry and other items appropriate for guys and gals. You can purchase pendants, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, badge reels, dog tags and lanyards. The magnets come in sports, military and decorative designs. The final Saturday school will be held on January 5.
SENIORS: Time to start thinking about completing your financial aid information (FAFSA). Remember this is the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid that must be completed for any career center or college to determine your eligibility for grants, loans, work study, and some scholarships. Several opportunities for help with this are available. #1 - College Access Coordinator at 12:30 in the library on Tuesday, Jan. 22. #2 - FINANCIAL AID NIGHT - COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID OFFICER - Seniors at 1:00 in the library on Monday, Jan. 28 and seniors, juniors, and your parents at 6:00 that night in the library. #3 - FAFSA FRENZY - go to a college (do not have to attend that college) and get help from financial aid experts in completing your info - OTC in Springfield on Feb. 24, MSU - West Plains on Sat., March 2 from 2:00-4:00. #4 - Financial Aid Help Nights - opportunity for you to use the school computers and if you need help, Mrs. Gilliland will be here to assist you and/or your parents with the actual process from 4:00 to 8:00 each night - Wed., Feb. 13; Wed., March 6; and Wed., April 3. Individual appointments can be made if these days and times are not convenient for you and your parents.
Senior Trippers need to check Miss Lawson's door to see how many more games they need to sign up for to equal at least 8 games.
