Alton High School will host a Financial Aid presentation on Thursday, November 1st at 4:00 PM in Mrs. Wright's Business Lab in the High School. All high school seniors, juniors, their parents or guardians, and members of the community are invited to come learn more about financial aid. Presenters from Ozarka College will cover information in regards to paying for any type of post-secondary education. This will include grants, scholarships, and loans to vocational programs, career centers, two year colleges and four year colleges.
After the presentation, parents who need assistance in completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will be able to receive help from financial aid personnel. Parents and students will need to bring 2017 federal income tax returns with them if they filed taxes or information in regards to social security or disability income. The labs will be open until 6:00 PM for use by the parents.
There will be two additional FAFSA Help Nights. Mrs. Gilliland will be available for assistance from 3:30 until 7:00 on Thursday, December 13th and Thursday, January 17th. If a parent and student would need a different day and time, please contact Mrs. Gilliland to set up an individual appointment.
