Elektra Briggs will graduate from Alton High School in 2025. She is the daughter of Curtis and Tina Briggs and the sister of Keisha Briggs, Bayler Briggs, Abel Burrow, and Aiden Burrow. Her favorite activity with her family is spending time outdoors.
Her favorite childhood memory is when she and her friend Katelynn turned a simple painting activity into a playful paint fight. They ended up covering themselves, the porch, and even the kitchen with paint splattered everywhere!
Elektra has been involved in FFA, FCCLA, FBLA, Science Club, Softball, and Cheerleading at AHS. The activity she enjoys the most is FFA because of the variety of events and opportunities it offers. Her favorite high school memory is attending the FFA National Convention.
The class Elektra enjoys the most is Agriculture because of its hands-on activities. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her family, taking care of animals, hunting, fishing, riding horses and four-wheelers, all well as going to the river. If she had one wish, it would be to travel to another country. The three words that best describe her are caring, hardworking, and outgoing.
After high school, Elektra plans to become a radiology technician. In 10 years, she sees herself married with kids and living on a farm. Three things on her bucket list are traveling to Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming.
The person she admires most is her Nana because she has always been there for her and has taught her so many valuable lessons.
The teacher who had the biggest impact on Elektra was Mrs. Snyder because she was always supportive and encouraged Elektra to do her best, even when it meant stepping out of her comfort zone.
What Elektra will miss the most are the trips with her friends at AHS. Her advice to underclassmen is: "Don't hold yourself back. Step out of your comfort zone and don't worry about what others think."
