Dear Mrs. Walsh, I have some snack sacks ready for the children, as well as a little project they might have some fun with. I made each student an "Encouragement Book" and I hope they'll write something kind to each of their classmates. If done with any thought, I think they'll find things they can really appreciate about what others recognize in them-- atleast that's my hope. Please share the attached minute science video that shows the effect of word frequency on water with the kids. I think it will blow their minds! It's amazing to think of the impact kind words have over water, much less a human that understands words! I've written a personal message in every book, and I would love it if you could do the same before we hand them out. Sincerely, Jennifer Wilson Ozark Equipment Company #CommunityPartners #AltonElem #CommunitySupport #BlessedWithTheBest #EncouragOneAnother

It's almost that time of year again! Ms. Watts' Human Anatomy classes are taking a trip to participate in the interactive Cadaver lab at St. Louis University. This is a great and even a once in a lifetime experience for some students. If you would like to help sponsor the cost of a student or students please feel free to contact Ms. Watts @ the High School (call or email, amandawatts@alton.k12.mo.us). The cost for the field trip is roughly $45 per student (including lunch and dinner costs). This is a lot for some families. Last year I was amazed and very appreciative of those that contributed. The lunch meal for the entire trip was paid for and many students were able to attend stress free due to the generosity of our community. Thank you again for all that you do for our students here at Alton High School.

It’s Box Tops submission time again! Turn in your Box Tops before February 27 so they can be included in our school’s April check – it’s our last chance this school year to earn cash for our school. All Box Tops turned in after this date will go toward next fall’s check. Thanks for your help!
