The Alton R-IV School District is currently seeking a highly qualified Elementary Special Education Teacher. We are looking for candidates who possess the ability to actively engage students in the learning process to help them reach their maximum potential and who will be a positive role model. Candidates should have a working knowledge of the IEP process, the MO learning standards, and response to intervention. This candidate should also be able to interpret and utilize data to guide their instructional decisions and work well within a team setting. A couple of Alton's own, Mr. Cole Barton and Mr. Kaleb Gray, are performing in this musical. This show would make a great family activity at the end of the month!


2025-2026 School Year Immunization Requirements: *All 8th graders will need a TDAP and MCV vaccination or exemption. *All 12th graders will need a second MCV vaccination or exemption. *Preschool-students who are preschool this year and staying will not need any other vaccinations. If you are a new preschool enrollee contact the school nurse. *Kindergarten- students starting Kindergarten will need to contact the school nurse to determine what vaccinations/exemptions are needed. Proof of vaccinations or exemptions must be turned in BEFORE the first day of school, August 20, 2025. *Please contact Leslie Weyland RN or Casey Warren RN at the school with any questions.

Alton R-IV Achieves National Beta District of Distinction Status!
We proudly announce that Alton R-IV School District has been named a National Beta District of Distinction! This prestigious honor is awarded to school districts that offer National Beta programs in every school and actively induct qualifying students in all eligible grades (4–12).
