Myles Cockrum signed his Letter of Intent to run Cross Country and Track next year at Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO. Pictured seated with Myles (center) is his mom, Marilyn and dad, Michael. Back row from left to right is Dr. Joby Steele, High School Principal and Stephanie Miller, High School Athletic Director and Assistant Principal. Myles’ parents are the Head Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country and Track Coaches at Alton High School in Alton, Missouri. Myles will be running for Coach Steve Davis, Head CC and Track Coach at Mineral Area College.
SENIORS: 2 Scholarships due this Friday, May 15th by 12:00 noon! They are the Rotary Service Above Self and the Howell-Oregon Electric Coop! They are both available in the google classroom!
5th - 11th Grade Students: Today, Wednesday, May 13th is the final date to return schedule options to Mrs. Gilliland! Make sure you get them in so you have some choices in your schedule for next year! Email pamgilliland@alton.k12.mo.us if you have questions or need to just email your options in!
Vaccination Requirements for the 2020-2021 school year: 8th grade students will need a Tdap and MCV vaccination. 12th grade students will need a second MCV vaccination unless the first vaccination was given after the age of 16, in which case they will only need the one shot. You can get the vaccinations anytime starting now but please do not wait until August to get these required vaccinations because you run the risk of doctors offices/health departments running out of the shots before your child can receive one. If you are going to the Health Department to get your vaccination you must call to make an appointment before going due to the social distancing requirements.
5th - 11th Graders: Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 13th is the final day for you to turn in schedule options for the 2020-2021 school year. Please get your options in so Mrs. Gilliland doesn't have to just pick classes for you!
