Congratulations to Sophomore Harly Howell for being selected to represent our school at the Missouri Leadership Seminar! This three-day summer seminar at UCM-Warrensburg helps students develop their leadership potential.
In recognition of National Counselors Week, Alton Elementary would like to express our appreciation for our school counselor, Mrs. Tonya Willard.
School counselors are uniquely equipped to bridge the gaps between administration, teachers, parents, and students. As the demands placed on everyone in our school community increase, Mrs. Willard rises to each need with excellence, a positive attitude and an immeasurable amount of compassion.
Mrs. Willard works tirelessly to serve our students growing needs. Whether students need someone to listen, guide them through reflection, process emotional situations, encourage school attendance, recognize good works, supply clothing or advocate for a better quality of life, Mrs. Willard is always willing to serve each and every student who graces our halls.
Mrs. Willard is a vital asset to our school district and we cannot thank her enough for all that she does!

GFWC Scholarship-Any senior may apply. One applicant from Alton will be selected to be sent to the District Competition where one finalist will be selected for the $1000 scholarship. Return applications to Mrs. Gilliland or Mrs. Oesch by 3:00 on Feb. 20th.
DUE APRIL 1 - THREE RIVERS COLLEGE ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP - senior planning to attend TRC who ranks in the top 25% of the class or has at least a 21 composite score on the ACT may be nominated by Mrs. Gilliland. Please see her if you plan to attend Three Rivers College.

SENIORS & JUNIORS: MSU-WP RED CARPET DAY will be Friday, February 21st. If you would like to attend, you need to get a permission form from Mrs. Gilliland and return it and your assignment sheet by Tuesday, February 18th. We will leave at 8:30 and return around 2:30.
Junior class is once again selling laundry detergent, as well as other cleaning supplies, to raise money for prom. Attached is a copy of the order form. This will include a list of the products and prices. All 5 gallon buckets come with a pump to easily dispense the product. This fundraiser will run from now until February 28th. Please contact the high school for more information or to place your order.
Alton High School Beta Club Announces Winner of their Gun Raffle
Alton, Missouri – Alton High School Beta Club held a gun raffle which started on October 5, 2019, at the Alton Chamber of Commerce’s Walnut Festival in Alton, Missouri. Alton Gun and Pawn/Alton Auto Parts located at Highway 160 South in Alton, Missouri, donated a .22 Henry rifle for the students in the Beta club to raffle off. The winner, Edward and Beverly Goans of Mammoth Springs, was announced in November. The raffle was held to raise money for Beta students to attend state convention in Springfield, Missouri, in December.

2020-2021 DUAL ENROLLMENT MEETING - 9TH - 11TH grade students and their parents are invited to a meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 26th at 5:30 in the high school library. Dr. Michael Orf from MSU - West Plains will be here to speak about courses, costs and tuition waivers, calendar, etc. Students who are interested in dual enrollment courses for next year and their parents should plan to attend.
