Just in case this form hasn't made it home... sport and club pictures are tomorrow!

SENIORS: Voice of Rural Missouri Scholarship application is available in your Senior Google Classroom or from Mrs. Gilliland. Due March 31st.

SENIORS: ESA Foundation Scholarships-multiple scholarship applications. Go to www.epsilonsigmaalpha.org for more information. Early Bird Deadline is Dec. 15th (3 additional scholarship opportunities by meeting this deadline).

Senior Parents: Two great scholarships are due Thursday, Nov. 15th. Missouri BETA - must be a BETA member (three different scholarships) and Hagan - must have a minimum 23 ACT Composite score. Encourage your seniors to apply.

Congratulations to Treyton Terrill, he scored a 27 on the SCIENCE portion of his ACT!! The ACT is scored on a scale of 1–36. The national average ACT score is currently 21. Scoring above average opens the door for scholarships, potential college acceptances and academic recommendations. Keep working hard, AHS is proud of you!!

This is Eric Allen. At this time, 9:00pm on November 12, 2018, Alton R-IV will be in session on November 13. The Springfield TV stations rolled today's early dismissal into being closed on November 13 which is not fact at this time (and has since been corrected). A weather check will be made early in the morning and any updates provided, if warranted. Again, as of now school is in session at Alton R-IV November 13, 2018.

The calling company was able to fix the issue with our calling system. If there are further issues in the future, please do not hesitate to let us know. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

We have had a few instances of people not receiving the call or text that went out about dismissal. We apologize for any issue with this situation. We are currently checking with the company to determine what happened, as we show that those who have notified us should have received the calls. As there is a potential for further precipitation, please also listen to radio and television for any further cancellations.

This is Eric Allen, Superintendent at Alton R-4. School will dismiss at 2:00pm on Monday, November 12, 2018. The Blue and Gold Scrimmage for tonight is postponed to a future date.

Six new scholarships listed today. If you are a descendant of a veteran (child, grandchild, great-grandchild, etc), check out the different criteria for each of the six.

New "Counselor's Corner" and "Scholarship List" posted in the Documents section.

Seniors & Parents: Mrs. Gilliland has created a google classroom for Sr.'s. She will post scholarships & other info there. Watch for & accept the invitation to join "Seniors 2019: Not Done Yet" classroom! Let her know if you didn't get the invite.

BETA club's spirit week begins today with the St. Jude's RED day. Wear your RED to show your support for the fight against childhood cancer.

With Winter weather season approaching, please be thinking now about any alternate plan for your child(ren) in the event of an early dismissal for school for inclement weather. A little planning now can greatly reduce the stress of this event in the moment it occurs.

Shout out on an awesome Veteran's Day Program! FBLA, Choirs, Speakers, Veterans' Presentation of the Meaning of the Folding of the Flag: All did a very meaningful job. It was great to see so many Veterans and some of our current military here today. Thank you for your service.

Elementary 2nd Term Progress Grade Reports will be emailed on Friday, November 9th. If the parent does not have an email address on file, a paper copy will be sent home. Please contact your child's teachers if you have any concerns.

Last day to place your order for the Cheer fundraiser! If you wanted to place an order and didn't get to it contact Ms. Watts today at the high school. Thank you again for all your support
